Testing Positive for COVID-19

Updated September 29, 2022; revised April 10, 2023
Individuals infected with COVID-19 can return to The Glen after 5-days in isolation as long as they are:
— Symptom-free for 24 hours and able to participate fully in classroom activities,
— Able to fully mask for the entire day, except for lunch, for Days 6-10, regardless of the CDC’s determined level of community spread. Please note:
— a student who wears a mask and naps will need to attend half-day during these four days (8:30- 11:30 am), and
— a student who cannot wear a mask when around others should isolate for ten days.
— On Day 11, individuals are able to return full-day to The Glen and follow The Glen’s masking policy.
Alternatively, a student who has completed 5 days of quarantine may test out of masking with two negative COVID tests spaced 24 hours apart. The student can begin testing on Day 6.
If you have any questions, please consult with your child’s teacher for the length of your child’s isolation and return to school dates.
As a reference, please review the CDC guidelines for Isolating when you are sick and when to quarantine.
