Grandparents and Gourds – Pumpkin Decorating

$15 per child; no charge for grandparents. However, due to space restrictions, please limit the number of grandparents per child to two.
Registration Deadline is Friday, October 3, 2025.
Glen Grandparents’ T-shirts are available for pre-purchase through September 19 (they will be sent home with the Glen student on Monday or Tuesday, before this event). We will have a limited selection of sizes available for cash purchase only at the event on October 9. The cost is $15, and all Grandparent T-shirts will be navy blue with a full-color logo.
Each registered child will receive one small pumpkin (6”-10”) to decorate
Event details (please read before purchasing the Event Ticket):
— If your Glen student wants to carve a pumpkin, we require an adult-to-child ratio of one grandparent to one grandchild.
— If grandparents are picking up The Glen student, the grandparent must be listed as an authorized pick-up person on the Emergency Contact Form. Parents can review this information through The Glen’s Parent Portal> Admissions & Enrollment Portal (FinalSite Enrollment).
— Grandparents are responsible for all children, including toileting activities.
— This activity is available to all Glen students but is geared toward students ages 18 months through 8 years. Unfortunately, children not currently enrolled at The Glen cannot attend.
— Clothes may get dirty or painted, so grandparents and grandchildren should dress accordingly. Smocks are unavailable for everyone.
— Of course, if a grandparent is unavailable, an aunt, uncle, or special friend of a different generation can substitute.
— Unfortunately, we cannot refund in case of illness or other cancellations.

— This is geared to be a grandparent activity, but we need some parent volunteers. If you are a parent and would like to attend, please consider volunteering that evening. We need help with check-in, managing snacks, art activities, etc. Email mfischer@glenmontessori.org if you are interested.
