Impact of Scholarship Support
We recently wrapped up the 2023-2024 school year, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support of the Glen Montessori Scholarship Program. This year, we provided scholarships to 20 families, representing nearly 10% of our school’s enrollment. These scholarships are critical in maintaining our community’s essential socio-economic, racial and cultural diversity.
When you contribute to The Glen’s Scholarship programs, you honor Maria Montessori’s vision and her commitment to shaping the future. While we frequently highlight how your generosity directly benefits individual children—nurturing confident and enthusiastic learners—we also recognize the broader impact.
Your support is instrumental in developing students who are capable and self-assured, deeply connected with others, and poised for lifelong productivity. These students learn to value accountability to themselves and their communities,an essential trait for success in the workforce and for tackling global challenges. Your financial gifts enable students to develop the skills and mindsets necessary to address critical issues such climate change, disease, medical technology, civic engagement, and humanitarian disasters.
Parents who aspire for their children to thrive are profoundly grateful for your assistance in making these dreams a reality. Your contributions help bridge the tuition gap for underrepresented groups, break down systemic barriers, and support families facing overwhelming financial challenges such as medical bills, unemployment, and divorce.
Looking Ahead
As we look forward to the 2024-2025 school year, the Glen Selection Committee has reviewed over 30 applications for scholarship support and has awarded 25 scholarships. These scholarships, ranging from 10% to 40% of tuition, significantly enhance the educational opportunities available to our students.
