The Glen Is Staying Together While Staying Home
Following Governor Wolf’s announcement this week proclaiming the extension of the stay-at-home order, the continued closure of non-essential businesses, and the indefinite closure of school campuses; The Glen Montessori School’s campus will remain closed until at least May 1, 2020. We are extremely grateful that the social distancing measures put in place appear to be slowing the spread of the virus, but are still very disappointed not to be together at school.
We are also profoundly grateful to our faculty, staff, and families for all they have undertaken to bring Montessori education into the remote learning environment. While we are not able to be in the typical Montessori prepared environment and share the Montessori hands-on materials from the shelves, there are key tenets of Montessori which we continue to advance for our students. We continue to further individualized learning, a sense of community and recognize the dignity of the child as a citizen of the world. Through this difficult time, the strength of our community and the commitment to weather this storm together has become clear. We are #Glenstrongertogether
