Juneteenth- SCHOOL & CAMP CLOSED

Juneteenth (short for “June Nineteenth”) is an annual federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. It marks the day in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation, freeing the last enslaved people in the United States.  This day was signed into law as a U.S. national holiday on June 17, 2021.
