On Friday, October 23, we’ll celebrate our 40th day of school as The Glen marks its 40th year! 🎉
Show your Glen spirit by dressing your child in Glen gear and finding a fun way to celebrate the number 40.
Think about all that can happen in 40 days. Here are some creative ideas to celebrate this number:
- Wear the number 40
- Read or bring a list of 40 favorite books
- Complete 40 acts of kindness
- Say good morning to 40 people
- Bring 40 blueberries (or another collection of 40 small items)
- Do 40 jumps, hops, or skips
- Draw 40 hearts, stars, or flowers
- Wear 40 stickers
- Dress like you’re 40 years old (with your Glen Montessori gear, of course!)
- Share 40 things you love about The Glen
For a Montessori twist, ask your child how they would represent 40 using Montessori materials:
- 4 Ten Bars
- Stamp Game
- Golden Beads
- Bead Chains
- Skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s
